Default Trunk liner retaining clips, how to remove?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to pull these things out without breaking them? I've never seen retaining clips like these ones. They have what looks like an opening on one side and then on the direct opposite side another opening. They don't look like any retaining clip would see in the last 44 years on this planet. My YouTube searches so far have been fruitless.

Are you talking about the rectangle shaped black plastic clips under the subwoofer shelf? (Ie the ceiling if you are inside the trunk?)

if not, can you supply a photo of the part you can see?

I was able to get them out. See pictures below. I used a pic tool that was able to slide through and then I gripped it tight and wiggled and pulled it out. There was a bunch of them to get the liner off so I could get access to drill my hole and run wires for my backup camera I'm installing

Well I had no idea you could hook those things!
I would have recommended a two-forked trim tool (with a little extra hand support to prevent the plastic tool from flexing)

however on my car it looks like someone in the past used a claw hammer... which would also probably work, but in my case they bent the car's sheet metal.

I think so. It looks like the prongs come from both sides and meet in the middle of the clip which would make sense since there is a hole all the way through the clip.
