Default Clips

Hi everyone,

I ordered some license plate LED's and it should be coming soon. I was looking at the underside of the trunk and I don't know how to remove the black plastic clips that holds the carpeted trim. Can someone explain please?

Also, how to remove the plastic dome, courtesy and trunk covers?

Mahalo for your help.

You pull them out, people either get an expensive tool from an auto parts store or use zip ties and pliers. Just remove the inner trunk panel and it should all be self explanatory. You'll see how they just pop out.

if you dont want to get the "expensive" tool:

Get a set of needle nose plyers insert under panel (open) one point on each side and rock up and down (point to handle, point to handle) and wedge it at the same time. Its a short process and it will pull it out, as for the ones in the middle, when you pull carpet a bit, with a little tug they can sometimes fall out with the carpet (keep an eye out for it so you dont lose it) sometimes the clip will stay in and just go right through the hole in the carpet, in which case you can use the same method as you did earlier with the outer clips but this time no carpet in the way

I used two smaller flat head screw drivers to remove the panel clips in the trunk. I put the tips of the screw drivers into each side of the little pin and popped it out.
