120 volt AC outlet not usefull
I had thought I could use this outlet for small hand tools, small appliances etc. But, online info states can only handle 100 watts, which limits it to small radio, charging a phone etc. May not even be enough to power a laptop. Just wanted to verify my understanding of its limited use.

Yes, only 100W. I tried to run a 18V Makita battery charger with no success, I use it for a 12V Makita battery charger.

I mainly use it to charge another battery pack that can do 600-800 watts but can only draw 70 watts itself from it's AC charge adapter.

Not sure what gauge wire is used to the rear inverter but wonder if the 400W unit used in the 4R IIRC would work in the back. One would need to know if the wiring was up to it though. In FSM... just looks like a plug and play inverter module in the back.

I'm not sure on other markets have the 400W. 4R models... not sure Gen/Years or current have something like this on dash

•• I'd be careful with refrig models in that jack because starting wattage for something like refrigerators can sometimes be 2-3x times running wattage. My ARB 55 quart draws about 50-70W when just running on AC adapter... granted it isn't running all the time.

Looks like the 4R version that supports 100/400W goes into each mode depending on whether the vehicle is driving or in P/N. 400W is only available while in P/N but there is apparently some override one can do. Best bet would be to run a heavier gauge wire run to the back and install your inverter of choice. I like to use Sine wave models myself. One would need to open it up and see what they ran for this simple 100W unit. I am doubtful wire gauge is very heavy stock.
Not exactly cheap stock for what it is... new prices are $350-$900. You can purchase some capable inverters for that price.

Might be a little too optimistic but do we have another crawl control switch scenario here... the inverter is capable of 400W but is missing the dashboard switch? :-) Need to see if there are multiple PN's for the inverter in cargo area.
