If it's company installed Remoter starter

Following process needs to follow for Starting and stopping

- Press Lock Button twice
- Press Lock Button third time and keep it pressed for 3 seconds

Observations:

- Car will run for 10mins and will stop
- As soon as you open Door it will stop car
- For starting and stopping - you need to follow same steps (Older version requires only pressing Lock button or Unlock button to stop the car
- Lexus will be fading out Company Installed remote starter and will rely on Enform Remote for all functionality (Which is very buggy at the moment)

Lexus Enform has the same shut off and we have to pay for it.

I had the Enform remote for the few months I had an NX and I hated it. It didn't connect most of the time, took forever to connect when it did and took way too long to give status information. I plan to install SmartStart next year which I had on my Nissan Rogue and absolutely loved.

 

I have the smart start installed on my GX and love it. It still turns off when you open the door but it can be programmed to run as long as 18 minutes I believe and will allow 1 restart after that.

 

I personally think the turn off is a good thing as the restart allows your phone's bluetooth to connect automatically.
Are you able to just use your fob or did anything else change?

 

I can use my fob the same way OEM works but I can also use my phone from anywhere to check location, codes, lock, unlock, check to see if it's locked, unlocked, see if the alarm has or is going off and I'm sure a few more things that I forget.

 

I received that info from Enform Analyst over the phone when i called them to Log a Case as my Enform doesn't stop/start engine but everything else is working fine

 

I use my inform to start up my truck until I got a check engine light went right over to Lexus to have it check out they told me they are having problem with inform and for me to try not to use it also I tried using it today and it give me and error to take the truck into Lexus I think I will get some other type of starter
