#2023 Discussion
I had the same exact issue on the west coast of Cal. Many were selling at MSRP and even 1 was selling at price higher than MSRP. If you have Costco membership, give their car buying program a try as I used their service for the 1st time, and was able to knocked off about 3.3% off the MSRP without haggling. Considering the market condition at the time, I was satisfied to get some kind of discount. I took the deal as there were not many exterior and interior combo that I wanted. Just a side note, you can search the Lexus web site and searched their inventory. If the car is not sold or in pending purchase, it should show the GX available for sale. During my hunt I found that many GX were sold(in pending sales) before they reached the Long Beach port. Good luck!
Want to buy a '23 Premium w/Premium Plus Package before they are all gone.
I'm in Southern California, closest dealers are Crown, Riverside and Longo. Any chance of getting one below MSRP? I'd like to have some idea of realistic selling prices.
Thanks in advance.

I'm on the opposite coast, but the discounts people were reporting 3-4 weeks ago seem to have disappeared now. If I look at the dealers around here, inventory is very slim and I have no doubt that plays into their lack of willingness to negotiate. When I bought last week, my GX was the last unit they had and more weren't coming in for another 7-10 days.
I ended up with with an Atomic Silver/Rioja Luxury model with the off-road package for 6% under MSRP, they also gave me $500 more on my trade than CarMax offered. Overall I'm pleased. I'll pick the car up over the weekend, all this has been done via phone/text/email.
Lexus shows 39 of all trim levels currently available at Los Angeles area dealers, only 4 of them have the off-road package.

While my 2013 base model was getting fixed I was given a a white 2023 Prem plus with red interior with around 700 miles as a loaner.
A few thoughts: 1) I think I have read this elsewhere but the front drivers door often wouldn't close - you need to really close it hard to get to fully shut; 2) while I would get used to it, both the steering wheel and shifter and boot feel much cheaper to the touch; 3) plastic trim around windows, rather than the wood in earlier models feels a little cheap too; 4) maybe it was a little quieter inside the cabin; 5) the ML system is better than the base but not by as nearly as much as I had thought it would. In fact I would say the audio in the RX loaner they gave me a week earlier had better sound. I will note that once I turned off the surround sound, the system did sound better than the base audio - but not by enough to really regret (at least for me, YMMV); 6) the steering felt like it had a little more resistance in the '23, but maybe some of that is due to leverage from the smaller wheel (that can't be right though, must be due to tuning); 7) maybe a little more responsive as well - not a huge difference, and I am not sure if it is due to tuning or just the '13 has less in it, but the '23 seemed quicker; 8) way better headlights in the '23 not surprisingly; 9) turns out I much prefer the bench to the captains chairs (but that is preference); 10) not a fan of the black headliner over the ecru one in the '13, or the black plastic trim/dash over the tan that I have. 11) car play is nice to have and in generally the infotainment is better in the '23, but I think the mirroring of the off road **** with the radio control **** would bug me to no end, esp bc the off road controls are above the radio **** but of course that is mostly due to my own OCD issues. Main take away is how similar they are - even after over a decade a GX will still drive almost as new.

I know this sounds so picky and petty but I have a ‘23 Nebula Gray with the black wheels and it has silver locking lug nuts. Why Lexus? Why not trim out with black lugs? I really detest that and I see it every time I look at the truck. The dealer said that the Toyota black lugs ones will not fit. I am trying to find the right size. I tried searching the forums, any recommendations? TIA
Hi I’m a new 23 gx460 owner. I’m looking to replace some interior/exterior bulbs with leds. I’m looking to see if anyone knows the right bulb fitments. I would also like to ask if there’s any interior floor lighting recommendations? It would be nice to brighten up the footwells. Looking forward to talking to my fellow Gx owners. Will be here for long time never selling this beast. Thanks
So our new 23 GX460 Luxury was supposed to be “on the boat” and here in mid September. Today, while nosing on my dealers website, I see what appears to be our GX on their inventory now marked as “in transit”. It was not there earlier this week. Does anyone have any ideas on time frames from “in transit” showing up in inventory to the vehicle actually showing up at the dealership? Our dealer is in the Pittsburgh, PA area. I’m sure port of entry is a huge wildcard as well. Or perhaps mid September is still the target - just hoping it shows up a bit sooner. Thanks.
