1. Are you guys seeing an increase or decrease in gas mileage?
2. Does Lexus have any issue in regards to the warranty? Audi is very touchy when you have aftermarket/non stock modifications when dealing with warranty work.
i saw a decrease in mileage but thats associated to having more fun driving it. if you have concerns about warranty - it takes 1 min to unplug and go back to stock before you take a visit to lexus for any work or claims.
there are very rare scenarios where it can throw a code but most can be remedied by 1) not changing parameters while your foot is on the pedal (it is ok to make changes while stopped) 2) defect in the actual unit - this shows up relatively quickly and pedal commander is very responsive in dealing with issues. i had an issue with one in my 4runner in which it would change to sport+ and pedal commander sent me a new one when i sent the defective one back. i have had zero issues with the one on my gx.
Is this effectively a pedal commander? changes the input of how hard you need to press the gas pedal? I have a sprint booster on our 2014 4Runner and love it, may get one for the GX but so far with the V8 the throttle lag is really not noticeable like it was on the 4Runners V6.
If the 5th gen 4R is worse than my GX460 my god it must SUUUUUUUUUCK! Because my GX460’s throttle lag is pretty bad. Those that say it isn’t likely haven’t driven high powered vehicles with a near instant throttle. Hell my GX470 is very spirited by comparison. lol
Saw this awhile back and decided to try it on my 2014 GX and 2016 LX, installation is very easy, lesser than 10 mins, plug and play. The peddle response is very noticeable with different settings. I am sure there are many similar products on the market, but like this one with its simple configuration, near invisible button implementation, and Valet and Lockout mode for added security.

Up until yesterday I owned all 3:
-GX460 throttle lag is worse than the GX470, I don't actually notice it as an issue on the GX470.
-5th gen 4Runner is much worse than the GX460, think 3X worse than comparing GX470 to GX460.
This may be a dumb question, but do these devices help with the hard down shifts when going up inclines (hills)? This transmission is real jerky on grades but especially noticeable when the cruise control is on.

it did help on down shift. In OEM setup, you need to almost floored accelerate in order to down shifts. With that, you won’t. If I put in sports+ mode, it almost down shifts right away with little inputs. You can adjust it to your preferences.

^ This. My cruise control “hunts” too often when there is an incline or heavy headwinds. If this solves or helps with that I'm sold.
Just be aware that the Pedal Commander, and possibly other throttle controls(?), don't function when on cruise control. Not sure what exactly would happen if you were on CC, and then romped on the pedal while still on CC, say going up a hill or passing. Not sure in that case which system would take precedence. But in normal cruise, the PC has no impact. It still rocks, though! TOTALLY changes the way the truck drives.
I don't use CC but I thought if you used brakes or the accelerator this disables CC. This has been my experience in the past when used on other vehicles. CC is based on speed so I don't see how this would cause any device to not function? Again I don't use CC on the 460 so correct me if wrong please.
