What all needs re-initializing after battery disconnect
Searched quite a bit for the answers, but can't find it.
For certain work it is necessary to disconnect the battery. According to the Lexus repair manuals, some systems need to be re-initialized after reconnecting the battery. But I can't find which systems need to be re-initialized and how. I have downloaded all the TIS pages to PDF, but that disables the links within the documents, so I can't click on the Info buttons.
Does anybody know which systems need reinitialization after battery re-connect?
Cheers,

Besides re-programmed the radio stations, I didn’t have to do anything when I replaced the battery.
The wheel icon disappeared but would correct itself after driving straight for a few hundred feet.

+1......The steering wheel directional pictogram on center cluster screen will lose it's wheels like during a ZPC. A quick drive over 25 MPH in a straight line gets it back. I can't remember now if I had to do any window re-initializations after cleaning my battery terminals a few months back. I'm inclined to think I didn't have to do anything.
nothing much. Usually most systems are designed to recalibrate after a couple of drive cycles. The only big issue is the nav unit, and thats only if you didnt follow the directions before unplugging the battery cable.

Remembering back on first battery replacement I did have an initial stall after first start. Looking into this on Tundra forums it seemed with some carbon buildup on throttle body around throttle plate it can reset the idle learn position.
The vehicle adjusts for buildup over time and pulling the power resets this learned adjustment.
I guess other symptoms are extremely low or high idle after battery replacement. Fast forward I did a throttle body cleaning (there was some buildup) and last year did a battery terminal cleaning (disconnected battery again) and problem did not re-occur. Vehicle fired right up without issue after battery was reconnected. This may be something more noticeable on higher mileage vehicles which have never had an intake cleaning of any kind.

On my 2014, nothing needs to be done, everything come back as usual includes all memory settings. You will see a system loading screen on display before the general liability waning screen. The only thing I noticed would be the nav defaults to north up and 2D mode.
