Default Difficulty engaging 'D' gear

Hello All,

Just picked up a 2010 GX460 and new to the community.

I've noticed that when I attempt to shift into 'D' , sometimes the light beside 'D' on the gear shifter doesn't light up 'D' does not appear on the dash. It still is drives but after a minute or so, the 4-lo, traction control, and CEL light up. This happens periodically (most of the time I'm able to engages into 'D' correctly (light is on and 'D' appears on the dash) and drives with no issues. Reverse, drive, neutral all work fine. Haven't opened up the console to take a look but thought I'd reach out to see if anyone may have an idea about what's causing this issue.

Unfortunately, a code doesn't show up related to the transmission.

No...just a generic BT ODB II reader. I'm assuming you need a ODB to USB reader to use Techstream?

Apparently, a weak battery was the issue. Replaced the battery and all is good!

Thanks for the help!

From what I understand low voltage wreeks havoc on our computers and causes all kinds of weird issues. With 30+ modules it seems understandable.
