I currently have the old wheels on my '14 but LOVE the color of the new darker wheels. Has anyone plastidipped their wheels to make them look like the new ones?
I have plasti dipped wheels in the past and would never do it again. Not because it hurt anything but because the time involved and the longevity of the dip is not worth it IMO. I am on the same page with you though on the wheels. I have a '17 with the same wheels and am actually dropping them off to have them powder coated tomorrow. Have never gone the powder coated route so I am curious to try it out. I have a white '17 premium and am planning on doing a darker grey similar to the new 2020.
How much did the power coat cost? I have been thinking about that lately too. I’ve also seen 2020 wheels for $1k on ebay.

you might be able to find someone selling takeoffs that are practically brand new in your area. I would think $700 or less would be fair because anything more and you can get nice aftermarket sets.
I Plasti-dipped the wheels on my LX470 and ended up painting them a few months later. Plasti-dip is textured which meant it held on to mud and dirt, so after I took it off road once, the wheels were permanently stained orange and no amount of cleaning or treatment made them look better. Once I got my GX, I went straight to paint and I love the outcome! Plasti-dip is great for things like chrome deletes and badges, but for wheels, it ain't it.

Found a shop pretty close by that is doing them for $70 a piece. Price is too good to pass up. Only issue is that it takes about 10 days for their turn around time so we are gonna have a metal box sitting on jack stands for awhile.
265/65/18s - for me it was the right balance between not affecting the speedometer and fitting in the spare tire location but with a little more meat than stock.

We had ours done right after purchased the vehicle (May 2017). We paid $135/wheel and that included mounting, balancing, center caps, sales tax, etc. The cool part was we dropped off the SUV at 3:30pm and the next day it was ready at 10am.

How did they powder the center caps? I was supposed to drop mine off yesterday but they said if the center caps were plastic, they couldn't powder them due to the baking process.
