Default USB Drive and No Audio Files

I ripped a CD today and transferred to a USB drive as .WAV files. Insert the drive into one of the USB slots, the drive is recognized by the car, but no audio files are found.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Go with MP3 @ 320kbps ... should work ... or 256kbps ... in a vehicle will sound as good as a .WAV file.

From the '15 owner's manual:

This system plays back files with .mp3/.wma/.m4a file extensions as MP3/WMA/AAC files respectively. To prevent noise
and playback errors, use the appropriate file extension.

Is the usb drive properly formatted? I know you said it's "properly recognized", just want to make sure with troubleshooting and not assume anything.

Make sure it's formatted as FAT32.

exFAT or NTFS won't work. Windows 10 won't format it as FAT32, (only NTFS or exFAT). You may need to download a thirdparty (if you are using Win10)

I was using FAT16, but changed to FAT32 on the format and al works well.
