Audio system won't read some flash drive MP3 files
I downloaded several mp3 files from Amazon and loaded them on a flash drive to use in my 2011 ES350 audio system. The flash drive is plugged into the USB port in the center console, and CD/Aux is selected to play the files. The weird thing is that although most files play, there is a few don't. There are folders for the non-playing music files, and a file is indicated in each, but after a short display of the folder/file number, the player skips on to the next folder without playing anything. Is there something I can do to get the "silent" files to play?

Its a Common Problem
have a 2013 ES350 and it happens to us as well. No matter what USB Flash drive is inserted, it will read songs without a problem and then instead of not playing the whole thing would freeze up. In order to get it to work again, have to physically pull out the flash drive from the USB port and turn the radio back on. Its annoying. Took the same USB Flash drive and popped it into my Jag. and every song plays fine no problem.
Its a Lexus Problem for sure.

Guys the problem may be a media problem, bitrate, but perhaps that they are using ID3 2.4 if it's not supported in your firmware in my experience which is posted here: https://realtechtalk.com/MP3s_Wont_P...-2413-articles
To be sure, take the non-working songs and remove the ID3 tags entirely or verify it is not 2.4 and see if that fixes it. Hope this helps!
