For a 2020? This is a great time to buy. Invoice deal - 4K cash rebate. Maybe the dealers over there have low GX stocks?

One dealer has more than ten 2020 GX460 in the lot. But it doesn't want to tell me their discount. Just let me show him my current quote from other delars.
And he can beat them.....

Tell him $6k off in addition to the $4k offered by Lexus.

Default Percentage off msrp 2020 premium Dallas, TX

Percentage off msrp for new 2020 gx460 premium Dallas, Texas. September 2020
From Oklahoma and look in g for the best deal possible. Anyone have any experience lately with dealer and Lexus cash being off msrp.

Default Dallas. Texas

Tried 12% off total msrp yesterday in Fort Worth Lexus dealershio on a 20 premium. That was including the 4000 Lexus cash. They said no and wouldn’t give me a counter offer. Anyone know what’s a great deal right now?

I am not sure your 12% off total msrp is drive out price or before tax? You should, at the minimum, aim for invoice price minus 4K cash rebate as the price before TTL. That's about 8K off or more before TTL.

Try Sewell Lexus if you are shopping in the Dallas/FW area. They usually have really good price and service.

Just pulled the trigger on a new 2020 Premium With Sport Package and Captains Chairs. Really low inventory in the area the dealer says ... they are in hot demand especially with this $4,000 Lexus Cash ... so not much room to negotiate. My dealer search showed only 14 new GXs in about a 250 miles radius.

Anyway ... MSRP = $61,500 - $3,500 dealer discount - $4,000 Lexus Cash = $54,000 + TTL. Was pushing for more, but it was a no-go (spoke to 3 different dealers). And considering they only had two 2020s remaining, I didn’t want to loose out.

Not sure of the veracity, but TFL claims that GX is one of top 10 fastest selling cars atm (fastest= fewest days at dealer before a sale) - might be why less room for negotiation.

So as promised on the MY21 thread I was going to do a wrap up of MY20. Sales have been healthy once Lexus opened the flood gates and finally added 4k and 0%. Unfortunately not as good as pre-incentive 15.2% discount folks were able to get back in 2018.

Average discount before any Lexus customer cash/finance cash/loyalty cash/lease cash etc etc on the GX base and Premium only

End of Feb-till March of 2020-> 12%
April 2020-Mid May->10.8%
May-June->14%
August-Sep>7-8%

Now is not a good time to buy or lease unfortunately. The MY20 GX is expected to reach the same inventory levels of the MY21 GX in the next couple of weeks and dealers are keeping their remaining inventory close to their heart since they are finally experiencing a nationwide shortage of all their Lexus models (other marques have been better at finally stabilizing their inventory levels).

If your in the market, I`d look at the MY21s since

a) all trims gets acoustic front glass
b) Power third row is now available in the premium
c) The biggest is the ML sound system in the premium
d) the selection would be greater so no compromising on colors

Dealers use the phrase you can either shop the car or you can shop the deal, and right now its the former. The 4k cash is not really making much of a difference as it normally would say 3 months ago, or for arguments sake back in 2018. The 2021 2k cash seems low, but if they start dealing anything below invoice (91% of sticker) one can theoretically come out slightly higher or the same as the the current MY20.

Just pulled the trigger on a 2020 Premium Nebula/Black with tow, wood steering wheel, headlamp washers, and all weather mats/cargo liner. MSRP=$58,780. Minus discount $4500 and rebate $4000. Total $50,280.

I was shopping/comparing the 21 vs 20 and noticed a slight price increase for 21. Base Premium up $100 and the wood wheel up $150 (not sure about other options). The Dark Graphite wheels are no longer standard on Premium Package. Must get premium plus to get those rims. I went with the 20 for a couple of reasons, the 4k rebate on the 20 versus the 2k rebate on 21 and not wanting to pay for premium plus to get the dark rims. The Premium plus carries $1695 increase over the premium. I did not care about the power third row and had the ML in a prior Lexus and was not overlay impressed. On my 4th GX they are awesome. Their time could be coming to an end. Get one while you can...

Congrats on the New GX. The GX is not going away anytime soon, unlike the LX which is in its last official MY.

Agree about the power 3rd row, but would be interested on your longer term take on the GX base stereo. Maybe they improved it since mine (i've had my '13MY for a year). But I find it the worst thing about the GX. Even using CDs I still find it sounds less than adequate.

2020 Premium MSRP at 61.5k, down to 56k without much trouble, probably could have got it down more based on what I see here.

What dealer is this? I have been looking for a CPO 2017 (or newer) with Sport Package and with prices creeping into the mid/high $40's, I think I am ready to start shopping for something new. I'm in ATL and willing to travel.
