Default Back up camera is not aligned.

I have been dealing with this black arc on the top of the screen after I had the rear gate repainted. I went back to the shop and was told that there are no adjustments for the back up camera, OK but I never had this before. Advised I can leave my GX with them for half a day so they can remove the gate panel to access the camera, I said I will figure it out so no thanks.
I keep putting this off and it is occasionally annoying. If I push on the camera it does move so not sure if the bracket got bent or if there are possible adjustments.

While I don't see any camera adjustments I wonder if you can mitigate the issue by adjusting the back door hinges?

Also, the camera mount bracket get loose and bend slightly? Just a guess.

If it looks like this:

then maybe you can loosen the bolts and move it then re-tighten. Else could sideways drill out the holes in the direction you need.
I looked at my image, I don't have that on top except for the uppermost right corner can barely see it. They probably think you should be looking at the bottom of the screen anyways. I'm sure it can be adjusted if you think it is worth the work.

Are you sure it wasn’t taped off during the paint job and it’s just overspray?

I don't see any paint on the lens. I can tap on the camera and it moves up and down.

Theres mine. it would take moving it farther out (away from the vehicle) to get rid of the red areas that are my gx. I would at least keep part of the bumper visible.

Just checked mine. Something is loose or broken there. I'd have to press on mine with some effort to even give it the slightest of movement. Actually uncomfortable pressure that I was gonna break something.

mine does not move. yours looks like either a broken ear or a missing/loose bolt.

Did you email the body repair shop a link to your video?

I think I will. Looks like someone hand tightened and forgot to go back with a socket, no biggie and gave me an excuse to lube the release. They painted my reflectors at no charge so all is good and mistakes happen.
