A Yeti45 is good for 2 people. Anymore and it may stretch you thin based on the amount of ice needed to keep additional things cold. With the 45 packed, it needs/holds 7-10 pounds of ice and for about 3 days.
Like others have said, a Yeti65 will fit fine behind the second row and be adequate for what you need.
Addtiinally, I am in the market for a fridge. In order to run a fridge (50qt ARB)($850?). I will need to run a 10 gauge wire from the battery ($50). That battery will most likely be upgraded to a 31 series deep cell.($350). Then we added a capacitor, essentially, and look at something like a Goal Zero Yeti 400 ($350) or make a storage cell out of an AGM and pelican box... and then a 100W solar panel to charge the battery through a quick disconnect. Whew. All that to keep things cold......hmmmmmmmm really makes you think.
I followed his guide and built my own. I can charge it while driving with 12v Dc, 110v AC at home or even solar panel:
I run an Indel B 50L fridge (http://www.indelb.com/products/autom...avel_box/tb51a) and wouldn't go back to a cooler again. I would have everyone go this route but it can be time consuming and be cost prohibitive for others But I heavily looked at Yeti's before going the fridge route. The problem with the good coolers is that they are bulky. For 4 people I would go with a yeti 65 or something similar. A cheapo coleman can do 2-3 days easily if you keep the box out of the sun and don't open it frequently.
Ohhhhhh Myyyy... I was looking at the 75000 mAh 278Wh on amazon for $230 but this one is sooo nice! Hope it's on sale as I don't need it right away.

I swear all of these coolers are made by one company. They just move around the handles and branding around. That looks the same as Smittybilt, ironman 4x4, dobinsons, indel b... which all run the Danfoss/secop compressor which is also found in the ARB. That's a good deal if it is the same compressor. I got mine for that price but branded as an Indel B from italy.
[QUOTE=jkonquer;10303146]I gonna need to see these coolers in person...Anyone know any local sporting good retailers have these in stock? I'm in socal.
I was in a store shopping for Yeti's and ready to buy when a random guy told me to check out Orca Coolers. Long story short, I ended up buying a 75 qt Orca that I took on a 4 day overloading trip a few weeks later. Lots cheaper than Yeti and AT LEAST as good. Really happy with it and it fits perfectly in the back of the GX. If anything I would get the next smaller size but I'd rather a little too big than too small.

there's a bunch of roto-molded coolers out there that are awesome... Yeti didn't patent anything with the design, they were simply first to market, now it's flooded... pick the one that works for you. Here are a few more

(they sell some cool ice packs too if you can chill them enough)
I use their soft cooler and it's a rockstar at the beach all day, still plenty of ice to make cocktail for sunset.

I agree, the RTIC store isn't far from me and you can usually pick up some nice deals on colors that are not selling very well. Also the size of the RTIC 65 seems to be the sweet spot for what I am looking for. All that being said I enjoy seeing what others have done as maybe it will give me other ideas.
I ended up going with an Otterbox Venture 45. Crazy deals at Costco. I compared the Yeti 65 in person and it is not much of different in size. Not to mention the Otterbox was much deeper. Yeti 75 would have been a perfect size.
But the otterbox fits perfectly in the back of the GX. the handle is high enough to fit over the wheel well hump.. I did test the ice retention and it held ice for little over 2 weeks.
Getting a Dometic CFX 50w was a game changer for me...I love not having to deal with ice and I actually use it all the time during the week with grocery shopping, etc.
