if memory serves me right, the difference was for the trailer wiring bracket due to the bumper changes. The 140 part# has the wiring harness hang lower.
Just for a price point reference. I got mine from parts.com for $280 back in 2016.
That's good to hear. As long as all the holes are lined up I'm OK. I actually like the trailer wiring hidden (just like right now). I have one in the garage and will report back after I installed it. Thanks.
Replaced Curt hitch with the OEM hitch. Even though the hitch is for 2010-2013, I have no issues installing it on my 2015. Everything is as good as it can be.
Yes, the OEM hitch is much more robust than the Curt. Beside the 4 main bolts (similar as the Curt), there are four 12 mm bolts which are bolted to the side frame as well as four smaller 8mm bolts. It is about 70+ lbs so it weighs down the rear end a little bit.
Thanks to all who have helped. 4 main bolts - 12 mm Each side has extra two 12 mm bolts + two 8 mm bolts Full on look

How difficult was the install? What all was involved? I already hzve the Curt installed, but really prefer the OEM.

Not too hard but you need 2 people since lifting 70+ lbs AND screwing the bolts at the same time are not easy. If you do it alone then you will need the floor jack to help holding it. Took me about 1 hour with the help of my son. I sprayed WD-40 into those holes (for the bolts) since there are rusts and dusts in there.

I would lube the bolts with blue or red Loctite and run them slowly into the nuts before install to clean/prep the threads, remove & clean the bolts, then install with same Loctite, torq to spec.
I did this job recently and all the suppliers showed it unavailable but my local dealer had it for the same price as OEM. I installed it myself with a floor jack didn't take long. I am still trying to get my money back from OEM since 9/9/2020 and couldn't recommend ordering anything from them.
If you're asking the question of "can you go with the CURT class 3" you should be more than good. I've got the same and used it to tow a 6x12 uhaul around town (probably 3500# all in) with plenty of ease. A lot of guys on here will say go for the 6500# "just in case" but I think thats really dependent on your towing needs and long term expectations. No it will not interfere with the stock spare.
I don't plan to tow any and it is just for bike rack. I guess I can go with CURT class 3 (CURT 13043 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003ZS32CW..._jp1FFbKZQMCB9 ) and it will not interfere with stock spare at 38 PSI? Thanks.
The Curt and the OEM hitch will fit there with a stock spare. Pump up the spare a bit more, maybe to the maximum psi... just in case. If you ever need to use it, you can always let the air out.
I have been using the Curt hitch for years. Towing the uhaul 5x8 with full load of compost or a yard of river rocks with no issues at all. I bought this hitch for $50 so why not.

I would buy 2 CURT 13043 if it is $50 nowadays. It is around $120 on amazon, the price suggests it is top quality and made locally.
