Default New hitch

Hi, I just had a new hitch installed. Apparently there are only a few that will fit my model. It sticks out really far from my bumper which I don't like. Is this to be expected with an after market hitch or are there other options that might tuck up under the bumper better? Thanks!

I think that's what you can expect from any aftermarket receiver hitch. You don't want the hole in the side of the receiver for the pin to be under the truck, as that would make it difficult to insert/remove.

I just installed the OEM hitch last weekend and they look very similar. Here are a couple photo's for comparison. I think my cover panel does make the hitch protrusion look a little less awkward.

5216960052B2 - Part number for the silver cover, if you're interested. ~$30-40
