Default Bad ride

Looking for a little guidance on wheel/ride issue. I caught a nail in my tire on my 2017 gx premium and had it patched up at Costco. Unfortunately they scratched the wheel pretty good when taking the tire off to replair. They offered to pay for a new wheel so I got it replaced at a local Lexus dealer. After getting the wheel replaced at highway speed the front end of the car shook horribly, so I took it back and the dealership said one of the wheel weights fell off. After balancing the wheel again it's better but the ride is still not as good as before the replacement. Should I have had an alignment done since the new wheel was put on? Would you take back to the same dealer or somewhere else? Any ideas for improving the ride?

If the dealer can't get a weight to stay on I would try somewhere else.

Their response was "it's really hot out and the must have fallen off due to the heat". What a joke right? Not very confidence inspiring.

If the spare tire is the same wheel, you can try to have the dealer swap with it and rebalance.

try pep boys, they have tire balancing, rotation etc for as low as $14.99, now there are more expensive packages but thats the most simple one. I had the same issue with my RX, i changed tires with a dealer and my wheel kept pulling, it was off balance. First they said the alignment was off so they did it for me as a courtesy and i didnt pay for it, it felt better but still not as its supposed to be, apparently the weights on driver's side front wheel came off, they rebalanced twice, it would feel alright but in few days same thing, wheel would go right on a straight road so i went to a local pep boys, it took longer wait time than at the dealer because i came without an appointment but after the car felt perfect afterwords, its been over a year, weights are still holding on the RX. Give it a shot.

Thanks for sharing your experience/advice. I am going to go to a tire place tomorrow and have them do an alignment and balance the tires.

Discount Tire has always treated me good, and they patch tires for free. They have a good package for lifetime balance and rotation, as well as tire warranties.
