Luxury comes with the semi aniline leather which looks and feels great.

I saw the base and the luxury....I didn't see crocodile...though crocodile would be pretty gangster though.... I do wish the headliner matched the base/field colors....

Default White with Sepia Leather

Hi Everyone...

I'm looking to get a new GX for my wife and love (wanted!!!) it in White with Sepia Leather Mahogany Trim. Her last two Lexus vehicles are Matador Red with Parchment and I HATE cleaning the interior (two young boys).

Does anyone have White with Sepia Leather Mahogany Trim? Please post your input and pictures. I appreciate that.

The sepia is the way to go with young ones. I have had ecru, and parchment in the last three vehicles, and specifically ordered the Sepia to avoid the cleaning continum. It worked out as planned. No more sneaker prints on the seat pads or backs.

Thanks, Randy.

Can someone give me couple Interior shots of the Sepia leather? This seems to be a hard-to-find interior color. Thank you.

Default Blind Spot Monitoring and "Croc" Leather Seat Questions

Hi All,

I am looking at replacing my 2006 GX with the 2nd gen GX. I would prefer to buy used, but may need to look at the 2015's to get what I want. I have some questions regarding the differences between the 2010-2013 vs. the 2014-2015 model years.

I really like the blind spot monitoring safety feature. What year was this introduced?

I don't like the "croc" -like leather on the 2014 Premium seats. When did this come out? Any idea if this will be continued with the 2015 model?

Thank you

Yes the croc leather continues for 2015 on the premium. You can go luxury which is nice and smooth or get a base version which is Nulux leather like very durable smooth with no croc look to it.

Really not sure on the blind spot monitoring question as I do not have it on my 2014 base version.

Blind spot monitor was added in 2014. I have it as well as the cross traffic alert which is also very helpful when backing out of a parking space or driveway.

Yes, the best leather is on the Luxury model starting in 2014. Before that, they all had the same leather.

If you have not seen Sepia in person, you should definitely check it out. In my area, it's considered a "hot interior" so the dealership actually have the truck unlisted. It looks like the dark brownish color of the plastic panel of the car. The seats look OK, but when I looked at the center console, it turned me off. I'd love to have Ecru as IMO it makes the interior look more luxurious but am hesitant. I may have to bite the bullet and spend time keeping and cleaning it clean instead of taking black or sepia. I tried to take a picture for you but the iPhone does not do it. It makes the color look much lighter than it is.

We have had 2 Lexuses with Parchment and they both showed the stains after 4 years. also had a black leather in our RX450h but my wife can't stand black interior. We test drove a GX460 with Ecru and while it looks nice I saw many dark/dirty spots on the arm rest already (only 300 miles on the clock)....

Will have to wait and see it in person, no obligation to buy if we don't like it since they sold every single one they have.

I thought from 2010-2013, there were 2 leather options, base and semi-aniline. Isn't the leather in the 2014 Luxury the semi-aniline or is it really something totally new?
