When I connect my iphone 7 with iOS 11.1.2 via USB connector, multimedia recognizes it as an 'ipod' but will NOT display any song info. I use Spotify, Pandora or iTunes music and under 'ipod', screen shows blank yet music will play.
Also with Pandora option under 'media', it will not link up. I have no issue when connecting my phone via bluetooth but not via USB connector.

Anyone having similar issues? is this iphone iOS problem or my car? 2015 GX 460 Premium.

 

Have you restarted your iPhone lately? Granted much older system in my vehicle but saw that behavior a week back with my iPhone and full reboot fixed it.

 

Tried rebooting but still having same issue.

 

Apply all the updates obtainable here?
