I hope not... It looks a lot smaller than the current model. Also, other than the front, isn't that basically a Highlander?

No, that's not what it looks like. I've heard it's a smaller version of the LX 570.

under that name in other countries besides the US?

The Land Cruiser Prado is the Toyota version of the GX outside the US.

I am afraid of that! It's pretty and all, but not what I would hope to replace my '04 with and not my cup of tea. Your decision to replace your '04 with an '09 was probably a very wise one (over and beyond the tax benefits you described in another thread)!
