IF, and that's a big if, that IS what the 2010 Prado looks like don't forget that Lexus makes the GX look a bit better than it's Toyo counterpart...I don't like the front of the current Prado, but I do like the GX...

If it really ressembles that pic, I'm ready to swap my current 2004 Land Cruiser "Prado" for the new one

All indication is that it will be a mini version of the LX.

Makes sense, I'm only worried that - at least based on the angles these pictures were taken from - they took the "mini" part too seriously. If it ends up being like this, I'd have a tough time paying the kind of $ the current GX commands for the updated version. But time will tell!

I doubt GX would have the same face as Land Cruiser Prado, but the same platform and what not will be the same. GX was developed specifically for the N.America market.

Definitely, that's a given. The size is what concerns me; I'm hoping it's just the pictures that make it look smallish.

Those pictures can be deceiving. It the shape of the design that makes it look smaller than it is. The new LX and the new Highlander both look small in picture.

What else is going to make it better (hopefully) will be the new convenience features, like keyless go, ac seats, hids / xenons, etc.

Definitely, one of my friend bought 08 Toyota Highlander and it came with keyless entry/start feature and I really liked it.

HID,,,, I still can't figure out why Lexus failed to offer HID on the later model 06-09....

re: "will be the new convenience features, like keyless go"

just curious guys.....what is the advantage of keyless?....I had a loaner today that was keyless and I don't get it?
You still have to have the remote....so whats the difference of pushing the start button or turning a key?

You don't get to play pocket pingpong trying find your keys. The way I see it it's a real disadvantage.

And you dont have to hear that key rattle in the ignition when you hit a bump on the road You dont have to put away the key when you shut off the car and you dont need to hand the key to another driver if someone else is driving.

It's really annoying having one car with keyless and the other without it. After driving my IS for a week, I get in my GX only to start pushing a button that is not there! Damn technology...
