Default Transmission fluid

What is the consensus on the best transmission fluid for my GX 2022? Open to suggestions. Thanks.

... until the powertrain warranty expires, Toyota has answered that question ... unless one wants to risk a potentially voided warranty if one has issues during the initial 6-year / 70,000 mile period.

If you shop Toyota parts like Fred Anderson Toyota that has 25% discounts several times a year you can get Toyota WS at a good price. I've seen local parts houses have WS compatible stuff, but I plan to put lots of miles on mine so I'll stick with WS instead of WS substitute.

That being said, some folks on the internet claim that some of these WS compatible fluids are superior to the WS. I am gonna stick with WS for my transmissions. But I do use Mobil 1 for my engine oil. So far so good. I recently bought my '21 and did my tranny fluid/filter at 60, but will start changing mine at 100, and then every 50K afterwards. That has worked well for my other vehicles. Oh, and I'm a fan of the 5K oil change too.

Licensed fluid only exists from Toyota.
Everyone else, including the mfg of the transmission sells WS Compatible fluid.

The point here is that i have not seen fluid brand related failures as much as folks not performing the service or performing it incorrectly.
