While washing my GX today, I noticed a piece of moulding/trim missing from the windshield (circled in yellow). In searching for the possible part, I discovered that it appears that this part comes in left and right sections (picture 2).

Anyone have any experience with this or know why there are left/right sections?

Or have I identified the wrong part and it is supposed to be one piece?

 

I believ eyou have the wrong part identified, the part you are showing is the side mouldings not the one at the bottom where it meets the cowl. What you are showing looks a lot like the window glass adhesive part number 56117-74010
