Anyone knows if a cat shield from a regular 4Runner (not limited) would fit our trucks?

I have a 4Runner limited cat shield and it was little short . I think because of the X-Reas .

I thought the frames were identical in both especially the KDSS versions.....

 

The GX460 and 5th gen 4Runner frames (with full time 4WD & KDSS) can't be identical as they don't share the same part number.

I though they share the same platform (prado)

Some companies sell the same skid plates/cat shield for both 4Runner and GX460

I guess some parts of the frame is the same..

I know the distance from the transmission support to the main support under the transmission is not the same between the limited and the GX

 

They share the same F2 platform (along with FJ Cruiser, and the J120 LC Prado/N210 4Runner for that matter), but they do not share the same chassis code.

GX460/Land Cruiser Prado = J150
5th gen 4Runner = N280

I do not know if the heat shield is interchangeable, all I'm doing is pointing out is that I wouldn't bet on it because the J150 is more different than the N280 than many have come to believe.

Platform just means they will share certain common architectural hard points that simplifies production; so certainly some parts will fit both, but having the same chassis is a much better indicator for parts interchangeability.
