... pay for the throttle mapping, not a cute display. Go Petal Commander or Shift Power ... phone app has all the graphics and settings in terms of visuals.
I had a Pedal Commander for a while, until it failed and left me unable to drive. Fortunately I was competent enough to rip it out from under the dash right there on the spot. Never reinstalled it.
Lol, I just installed this very one on my 2023 GX 2 days ago. I know there are a lot of nay sayers out there, but for me it is awesome! It really woke up the truck from a limpy feel to a a truck as it should feel, considering it's a V8. One of the cool thing is that you can make it more or less aggressive while driving and changes the behavior in real time.
I am worried about it dying but it's a trivial install so easy to yank out of need be. I was really thinking of remapping the ecu but this is more than good enough for me.
Throttle mapping gets more aggressive if you simply move the shift lever to the left to put it in sport mode. Not sure I'd want it any more aggressive than that in this thing, it's already thirsty enough.
Yep - I just tap it over to sport and shift between 3rd and 5th - plenty of power as long as you keep revs up near 3k. Of course, that prob doesn't help with what the folks on the thread I think really want which off the line.
Oh OK...wouldn't think it'd be all that helpful down low, cam profile is what's giving it a higher torque peak. Usually I've heard folks using these for slow throttle response, TBH I haven't done a full-blown stomp from a start in this thing though...guess I'll have to give it a try.

Sweet!! Gonna give this a shot ...
Did you disconnect the battery and keep the remote far away as the instructions state ?
not a throttle controller user or consumer but interesting takeways from Banks on the premise of the topic. Banks are quite expensive products, but I know fellow GX owners with idash units etc who use to monitor over say more diy options like torque pro etc.
Okay, I'm gonna hold off on this and go for the Shift Power aka Beat Sonic iteration. The 9-pin ( as this unit is referred to ) appears to be very unreliable.

I decided to give this unit a go, given the low price point, and am so far impressed with on-road performance. I've kept it to the higher end of the 'comfort' setting, i.e. 1.8, and that has done plenty to reduce the laggy throttle response. Haven't tried it offroad yet, but it does have a 'normal' setting in case I need to go back to factory feel.
