Default Squeaking brake pads (after replacement)

Okay so I own a 2015 Lexus GX, posted earlier in the year and you guys helped me out thanks btw, anyways so yesterday I took the car to my relatives shop, all went well, brand new brake pads and discs in the front, screeching sound kept on coming (yes I know there's a break in period) but still, anyways I take it to a tire shop so that they can keep some of that brake cleaner solvent for me, still kept on hearing the sound from the front, when they opened the brake calipers and removed the pads they told me that one that these pieces (not sure what they are called exactly if anyone can help me out) were missing on the front left side and when I asked my relatives he said they were missing last time too he thought I had removed them or something

Can someone please help me out, the sound is driving Me crazy and I've done everything I can, I even did a facing job earlier in the year back in April and replaced the pads and still the sound didn't go away, and now even after replacement it's still there, does anyone have any solution or any idea what I can do?

... yes, Brake Pad Shims need to be present ... and applied to the back of the Brake Pad(s) using Anti-Squeal Paste.

Also, when replacing the Brake Rotors (or Resurfacing) and Brake Pads it is important to immediately "Bed In" the Brake Pads

I'd get the factory pads and shims. Really not that much more than aftermarket and mine are usually dead silent. Make sure the shims have the right brake grease.

Every time I have an issue with squealing, it has been with cheaper, aftermarket pads. Some of them try to integrate or delete the shim and it causes issues.

There's a few aftermarket brands like Akebono that are top quality and oftentimes the OEM, but just defaulting to factory original parts has usually meant silent brakes.

Think about how much Lexus/Toyota spends on making their cars quiet, they put a lot of development and R&D in not having a luxury vehicle that has squealing brakes on a brand new car. Not worth saving maybe $20 on pads and going to a parts store to get them and hope for the best.

^^ Anti-Squeal Paste (to be applied between the Shim and Brake Pad Backing Plate) is NOT Brake Grease (to be applied to the Backing Plate contact sliding surfaces with the Brake Caliper). Be careful that neither contaminate the Brake Pad Friction Surface.

What brand of pads did you buy? And yes, you need the shims.
