Default Slow/Delayed Volume Change

The day before yesterday I noticed that there was around a half second or so lag between when I turned the audio *** and the change in volume. The volume seemed to also change in blocks of 2 or more units. Effect occurred both when increasing as well as decreasing volume. It happened both when the phone was connect to the USB port. The audio was coming in via BT. The audio seemed to change normally when using the steering wheel control. The issue did not occur yesterday.
Any ideas? I still have about 3.5 months of VSA warranty left -so if a symptom of larger head unit issue would like to get diagnosed and sorted before then. If it is something I can fix, that would be great too.
TIA.

Try and do a soft reset on the radio/nav unit if the Lexus will do the soft reset.

Do you know if unit ever got this update over the years? If vehicle's maps were updated with ~14 or later maps then it would have received this as well.

That would be the old firmware. You can also find exact firmware getting into diagnostic mode

If dealer would cover updating under your VSA I would recommend having it done.

Thanks! Hopefully this is covered by the CPO VSA. I will check with the dealership.

Update: Sat radio started to get stuck on '000' again. They replaced the radio 13 months ago for this same issue. So now both the audio *** is intermittently sending lagged signal and Sat radio stuck on '000'. Brought to dealership today - hopefully they can get it sorted permanently.

I don't think so but not sure- the audio delay only happened once last week and I think it worked normally from the wheel, but tbo I can't remember. It made me ask my wife is she saw anything funky - it is her daily - and she mentioned the '000' issues which we were able to demonstrate for the dealership. When I had the audio issue it also 'seemed' like maybe there was some delay in responsiveness between toggling between climate and audio in the main unit and the responsiveness of the touch screen, but to be fair that could have easily have been normal behavior and me just being hypervigilant.

Update: 'We disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and its fixed. Come pick up your GX'
@Acrad I did have then check the firmware and they said it was up to date.
I guess I will just watch it like a hawk for the next 3 months - not sure if I want it to fail or not. Of course, really I just want it to be sorted, but now there will be going forward a lingering suspicion of eminent failure
