Widest tire size for stock wheels
Hi..recently purchase a 2021 GX460. My question is what’s the widest tires I can get for the stock wheels with no mods/lift? I just want a wider tire and not have clearance issue. Thanks in advance!

265 mm = 10.43 inches (Stock Tires) - 7.5 inches (Stock Wheels) = 2.93 inches ÷ 2 = 1.47 inches of sidewall "bulge"
So IMHO ... the stock wheels are already borderline using 265 mm tires ... so to go with wider tires will cause increased sidewall flex in turns ... meaning a decrease in steering response with additional body roll.
Personally ... best to purchase 8.0 inch wheels even with the 265 mm tires ... or 8.5 inch wheels if going wider, and go with a wheel offset that will avoid any rubbing.
