Default What's this unplugged connector for?

I noticed this unplugged connector today, it doesn't have any boot so I assume it's supposed to be connected to something.

Is this supposed to be connected to something?.

I just noticed that today on my GX. Too funny! I am glad mine is not the only one with it!

I noticed while trying to check if my alternator, seems like you are working on your truck today, do you happen to know what the idle (700 RPM) voltage at the battery should be?.

Yes, I just finished installing a remote bypass filter kit. I unfortunately do not know, and I am getting ready for bed. Tomorrow after work I will check my service manual and I"ll check back here to see if you figured it out. Sorry I can't help tonight.

At start up idling, 13.8 - 14.1v
Fully warmed up idling, 13.3 - 13.5v

I've seen that connector too - my guess (and it's a total guess) it's for headlight washers in countries that get that option.

Is there anything like weak alternator or it's binary (working or not working)? I'm seeing 13.4v at 2500 rpms. And it stays in 13.3-13.5 range all the times. Car runs fine though but feels but sluggish.
Someone here recommended to change alternator as 170 k miles is too much for alternator. Just didn't get time to get to it.
