Need Help with 2nd row seats in GX470 2004
I just bought a used one and did not get the users manual, I am trying to find out how to fold up the seats in the second row to make more room in the back for a trip i am making. I just found out how to fold down the back part but that leaves me with a bulky section, i want to know how to move from that step to a point that i can fold the whole assembly up to the back of the front seats, any help would be appreciated. Thank You. BTW i searched the forum and i could not find it maybe i didnt word it right.

Pole Position
Like you've found, you pull the lever forward to get the seatback to fold forward. But then you lift up on that handle and the entire seat pivots forward (the hinge is on the front).
You may want to slide the front seats forward a bit so the rear headrests clear while being folded. You can slide them back again (most of the way) afterwards.
To fold them down again, you squeeze the orange plastic clip on the strut so that it releases, then fold it back down. And then lift the headrest part of the seat back into the vertical position. You can pull on the lever to recline the seatback if you want.
Owner's manuals are available on the Lexus Driver's site:

You should register there so that you'll be notified of any recalls.
