Hello CL!

I just bought this unit,
This seems to be a newer/newest unit I've seen. It is running Android 12 which is great.

However, after install I do not have audio or back up camera.

I've first been trying to tackle the sound/audio issue. After doing some digging on multiple forms, I thought the issue was, I didn't turn on the OEM unit and put the volume all the up. So, I reinstalled the OEM unit and then turned the audio all the way, which was/is working. Back to the aftermarket unit, still no audio. I tried a few other things, like going into settings and adjusting the volume output, no dice. I tried swapping the red & white cables in the back thinking I might have wired them wrong, nada. I then disconnected all of the cables and probably spent a good 15-20 mins connecting each plug to make sure I didn't miss anything that I may have the first go around, still nothing. Not sure if anyone has the newer unit and a quick fix?

For the back-up camera, I was under the impression it was just plug & play. I installed one of these units on my RCF and did not have any issues. It worked with the OEM camera. I did have to go into settings and adjust which output it should be, which I also tried on this unit. It did not work. I also did some digging on this, it looks like I may need to tap into some OEM wiring to get it to work correctly? Also, hoping someone has some advice on this one.

 

Any forward movement on this one? Have you tried their tech support?

 

Their tech support was nonexistence. I ended up buying the phoenix automotive radio instead. They also have lack luster support, but the radio is much better. Everything works out of the box minus the backup camera, they do supply 3 different cables that are supposed to make the OEM camera work but they did not work. You have to wire up the OEM cam separately, which takes some work. I did a small write up on another thread,
