Default Window Master Switch LEDs stay on

Original OEM switch would not function on Driver's window. Toyota part# 84040-60073

Replaced w/ after market switch part# 84040-60052

Switch functions perfectly but LEDs stay on all the time. I am concerned about the parasitic draw, but I have not been able to measure......my Fluke meter may be malfunctioning.

I have looked at the Forums wiring diagrams but I cannot identify the pins to the LEDs.

Any suggestions as to how to disable the LEDs or solve this issue?

THX

If you put back the original do the LEDs go out when the car is off?

Yes, I reinstalled the OEM switch & the LEDs go out.

Just lubed all the plungers on the OEM switch w/ silicone & it now is functioning perfectly..

The aftermarket switch was $27. I will keep it for parts.

Maybe someone will know how to turn off the LEDs & we can all learn something.

I also found this thread which confirmed the switch I bought would not work.

Replace with OEM or you are going to have a constant battery drain. Been there. None of the aftermarket switches will work, although they have gotten more clever and made some that won't stay lit all the time. It will still drain your battery.

I disassembled the aftermarket switch.

As you can see from the pics, the button assembly is completely separate from the circuitry.

I suspect most of the problems w/ the switch malfunction is the button assembly & not the circuitry.

The aftermarket button assembly is transferrable to the OEM switch.
