Default Turn signal issue! Help!

2008 GX 470. Replaced passenger turn signal bulb three times but after a day or so it goes out again. Now the left side is doing the same thing. Thinking it’s a short somewhere rather than the bulb. Anybody else have issues like this? And ideas how to fix it? Thanks!

Does the bulb fail? Or just stops blinking. What do the sockets look like they could be corroded (but don't look that bad).

Usually what kills them is heat from a bad connection.
Make sure you are using the correct bulb and that like LeX2K said, the socket isn't corroded.

Husband said they didn't look corroded and did blow them out with the air compressor. Even got a bulb from Lexus and same thing happened within a day or so. Fast blinking. Now it’s doing it on the left as well. When I lifted the handle?? up and back down for left it stopped but now fast blinking on right and left. Makes me think it’s in the handle at the steering wheel. Any ideas?

Fast blinking indicates a bulb out. Push the four-way switch (red triangle) then walk around the vehicle and make sure all of them are blinking.

In older cars if the bulb in the instrument went out, it could also cause this but the GX uses LEDs and won't do that. So it's got to be one of the outside bulbs or the wiring.

Check rear turn signal bulb…when a bulb goes it lets you know by hyperflashing.

Hyper flash in dash means bulb is out.

How did you know it was a blinker bulb?

Check all bulbs. Blinkers, brakes, hazard.

If you replace a blinker, REPLACE THEM BOTH! Replacing one will almost always cause the other to go bad (age, resistance difference etc.). I have seen folks go back and forth with blinkers for months before they figure out to do both.
