AC Keeps Clicking Every 20 Seconds
While I am idling, the AC "Compressor" clicks every 20 seconds. Like clockwork. Click...20 seconds go by....Click...
AC seems to be working fine. If I turn off the AC, the clicking goes away.
Is there a problem?

Not a whole lot of experience with GX specifics here as a fairly new owner, but this is a classic symptom when a Blend Door Actuator is going out on many vehicles.
Or maybe I'm misreading the source and it's coming more from the engine bay and not the dash area?

Freon kevel could be borderline low.
Need to hook up some gauges to see what low/high side pressures at.
I think some oil change facilities can check this free of charge.

Are you talking about the compressor cycling, or a sound from inside the cabin?
Also, it's common for a 10+ year old GX to need a refrigerant top-up.

Compressor recycling. Some are saying it's normal. Some are talking about the blend door. No noise inside. ALL noise at AC compressor.
Every 20 seconds, click, click, click from the engine bay.

I misinterpreted your initial message as inside noise.
I agree with the others that it may just be in need of a top off with coolant.

You did mean Refrigerant (Freon) and not coolant.
