air injection bypass
I have a 2006 GX470 with 165k miles and a failed air injection system. I am considering the bypass but am worried about smog inspections. I know the sniff test is done after the engine is warmed up so no issues with the bypass. but how about visual? do they look for it? I live in California so the inspections are stringent. Anyone have experience with this? thanks
With the bypass installed, the emissions techs won’t have a clue unless they personally know these trucks and know the different bypass available on the market. In my 35 years driving and 25 cars, not once did anyone open the hood or look for the cats.
