Engine try to stall when sudden Brake applied and accelerated.
2009 Lexus GX470 - 1,05000 miles - Engine try to stall when sudden Braking applied, and as soon as the engine is accelerated I feel a Big Knock, it doesn't happen on a normal Braking situation, only on the freeway,. serviced transmission system No help.
problem started around 70,000 miles, now it is getting worse. dealer was unable to duplicate the problem.
Like what was said.. this vehicle doesn’t use a traditional vacuum booster... so you would get a massive vacuum loss on heavy stops.
Id lean more towards motor mounts causing a larger vacuum line to separate when you brake or accelerate abruptly.. due to the engine tilting forward or backwards.
This is easy to test... just pop the hood and let someone look at how far the engine tilts when you power brake in drive or reverse.. just be sure to do this in a safe open area, with the person watching standing next to the engine bay and not in front of it.
