Best option for Android Auto and backup camera?

Best option for Android Auto and backup camera?
Hello! Long time listener, first time caller.
I'm actually looking to buy a first gen GX470. Whatever I end up with, I want to upgrade the radio to something with Android Auto/Apple Car Play (something like the Sony Xav-Ax100) that will work with steering wheel controls and a backup camera. Georgia just passed a hands free law, so I'm somewhat hell bent to make it work!
Assuming I'm looking for a 2004-2008ish GX470, can someone help me with the best/easiest option? I think I have two, but correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Find a GX with no nav. Swap the head unit and somehow install an aftermarket backup camera and fish the wire to the back of the head unit
2. Find one with Nav and get a replacement trim piece to fit the double din style new head unit... Hopefully steering wheel controls and existing backup camera will work fine.

Thanks Kelevra. I had looked at the Phoenix system, but I'm still leaning toward more solid tech (name brand) so that it'll be fairly reliable.... Hoping someone chimes in with their experience.

From what I read the android units are the only ones that will fit until our NAV ML system directly. If you want an know brand you will have to do buy that beat sonic harness and it a single din flip unit.
