Default intermittent KDSS light

On my '08 GX470 there is intermittent KDSS light on the panel, It is usually on when it rains and then it is off. There are no error/diagnostic codes shown by the car even when light is on. this been going on for the a year of so (we are in California, so it doesn't rain that often).

Doing some reading I am thinking that there is a water in the breaking fluid (in KDSS line), but I have no way to check it and I am not too hot to spend $$$ on the break fluid replacement.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Vadim

I've have the same issue going on now. I also had an intermittent KDSS light on last winter and again about a month ago. Seems to come on after we've had a lot of cold weather during the warm up or thaw. I think mine is a sticky valve. The KDSS has nothing to do with the brake fluid. It uses its own hydraulic fluid in a sealed system. You need a high-pressure hydraulic pump capable of producing over 1000psi of pressure to bleed and/or change the fluid in the system. Definitely a dealer service job. I've managed to reset my light by using TIS Techstream to enter the diagnostic test features in the KDSS ECU and continually cycle the two solenoids. My problem was one of the solenoids has been consistently sticky. This worked for a while, but as of today it appears my downstream accumulator solenoid is shot. Anyway, there is a code present, but a normal OBDII code reader will not be able to access it. You need Techstream. I think my code is a C1832 - Accumulator Solenoid (downside).
