Transmission Issues?

Turn on your car. Move the trans shifter from p to n. Wait 5 seconds. Slowly move 4wd shifter to hi. It grinds a little (normal) but shove it in there with some force. Put main trans shifter in p. Turn off car. Don't move 4wd shifter again and drive car normally. Good luck.

Correct.

BTW, if you leave the transfer case in N when you park the vehicle, it will likely roll away. There's a red warning light telling you not to do this, as it disconnects the wheels from the transmission (which is where the parking pawl is).

The only time you should leave the transfer case in N is when you're towing the vehicle with the wheels on the ground, like behind an RV. Something which Lexus says not to do.
