Default Where do you hide your cargo?

We recently bought a GX470, my wife's daily driver, and she absolutely loves it.

My wife goes to grad school couple of nights per week, she carries a decent size back pack looking bag that contains a laptop , iPad, books etc... She happened to stop by grocery store today on her way home and I was thinking... Where do you hide your valuables in GX? We have 3rd row seats, one of them is (permanently)folded, but the other one gets daily use. (we have kids) We can't have cargo cover and I was just wondering what you guys do.

limo tint is a good idea, but always never leave valuables in cars. I know that goes without saying but........... it's common knowledge. My wife drives a CLS550 and that car has some pretty awesome storage/hiding spots, but the GX is wide open.

Rich are you missing the front inside apron covers that cover the suspension behind the front tires
I was missing mine and I replaced them were surprisingly cheap from sewel lexus. Or did you remove them to make room for your front suspension mod.

When I installed the coilovers I bumped the front dust cover and it literally crumbled in front of me. Over time w/ it being so close to the heat of the engine it dry rots. When I had Lexus do my alignment I picked up a new front dust cover. It was just over $20.

I have to remove the Icon reservoirs bracket & reservoir to instal the front dust cover. I meant to do it when I installed the rotors & pads last week but I completely forgot about it

Living just outside of Chicago, and making frequent stop at the City of Chicago, tint won't work for me... even tho the truck is registered outside of Chicago, they'll still ticket you for window tint where tint is not allowed only in the city limits. So if you guys visit Chicago, leave your trucks at home or you can get a ticket. (makes no sense, I know.... like getting a ticket for no front license plate, when you're from state that has no fronts)

I wonder if I can get a cargo cover, cut off a big hole on the one seat used in the 3rd row... I've never seen a cargo cover, time for some research.

I preface my comments by saying that I live in an area where the likelihood of someone breaking into my vehicle is minimal, that I rarely park in areas where vehicle break ins are likely to occur, and I rarely leave anything of value in the vehicle. That said, I just keep a blanket in the back of the GX, and, on those rare occasions when I might have something of value in the vehicle, I just toss the blanket over it.

They're very expensive new and really rare to find used. I found one on eBay several weeks back. If you do get a cover you won't have the left and right trim pieces for the cover to latch onto since you have 3rd row seats.....
