Question Please help!!! Overhead screen not working

Hello, my overhead screen is not working (gx470 2003). What connections do I need to check first before replacing the whole unit. Thanx!

Have you checked obvious? Battery in remote ? Fuse panel? What are your symptoms no picture totally dark Can you change the source to put it so what ever is up front on nav should show on your screen. If you put in a dvd can you get any sound into wireless headphones and then try hard wired ? Can you get radio or other sources in head phones ? Need more information other then not working.

It happened right after detailing. Dvd works fine with navi. But roof screen just like unpluged. I don't have remote control and headphones, can't test them. I tried to unplug the dvd player (inside of console on the rear end) and navi react but not the roof screen. I know that guy disconnected the battery before he start detailing. This is the story.

Did you try removing the DVD and re-inserting it w/ the screen in the down position? Sometimes if I play the DVD before lowering the screen it will not come on. I'll either have to remove the DVD and re-insert it or use the remote to turn the rear screen on.

I find that i always have to use remote. I select source and arrow over to the dvd. You might want to get a remote. Sewell sells them new for less then $ 60.00 with club discount.

Glad to hear everything is fine.

Here's Sewell's website.
http://lexus.sewellparts.com/parts-c...X470-2003.html

Sign up for an account and enter your clublexus username and you'll get a pretty good discount. As of last year Sewell won't let you call in orders. They can only get your parts numbers etc. over the phone then you'll have to place your order over the web.

Here's the link to the remote. $64.82 w/o the discount; $53.74 w/ the discount.
*Make sure you order the correct remote. Mine was "D", I have navigation too.
