Default New wheels

Thought I'd treat my GX to a new set of wheels. Wanted to update it a bit.

Found a set of GX460 18" "take offs" at the local Lexus dealer. They had two sets, and one happened to be the dark silver. Just like the wheels on my sport-package GX.

Great looking wheels, IMO, and a perfect fit. Here's a pic of the wheels.

Just ordered a set of Michelin LTX A/T 2's; will post a pic once I have everything mounted.

How much did they run you? I saw a set of 18" 4 runner limited wheels with tires that look similar on eBay delivered for $800

They weren't cheap, but much cheaper than buying new from the dealer. The going rate for take-offs around here is about $300/ea.

Then calculate TPMS sensors and tires.

I had T4R Limited wheels on my truck a couple years ago. Beautiful wheels, super easy to clean. I flaked out and sold them. Thought I'd do something different this time.

Tires are mounted (cool looking tires) and in my trunk. Hope to be able to install them tonight after the kids to go bed. Will take some pics tomorrow.

I am digging the look. Do they seem to have a more agressive off-set the GX470 wheels or about the same?

The combination of the wheels+tires looks like a slightly more aggressive offset, but I believe the GX460 rims are the same ET25 offset as our stock GX470 rims. I think for me it probably comes down to how visually beefy the Michelin AT's are.

Drives great. Rides great, and I love the look. Stoked I found a darker silver set that matches the roof rails on my Sport pkg.

Looks fantastic. Did I say fantastic already? Wow.

To clarify on the 460 wheels, are the darker silver finish or lighter silver finish more common?

Don't know. I didn't even know they had darker GX460 wheels until the parts guy came back and said they had a set of each as take-offs. he then balked at giving me the same price on the darker ones that he'd orig quoted for the lighter ones, but ultimately agreed to honor the price. Makes me think they are rarer, but not sure.

Would you happen to know what year GX460 they came from? Or the part number?

My dealer only has silver or high-gloss silver, but not dark silver. I looked at both and neither one is as dark as the wheels on my 2008 GX Sport
