Default iPhone 5 and 07 GX

Hey everybody, I was just trying to pair my iPhone 5 with our 07 GX470 with no luck. My phone sees the system for a second and then is unable to pair. I tried this with three iPhone 5's. The bluetooth worked very well with our iPhone 4 (not os 6). Has anybody been successful in their attempts? I hope apple didn't make my Lexus obsolete!!

Page 1 about half way down is this thread asking the same thing you did. Theres nothing special about the iPhone 5 so the same reasoning behind it is still the same vs the 3 / 3S / 4 / 4S.

I am referring to actually pairing the phone. I cannot even make a call in my truck. All of the previous iphone models paired with no problem.

Ouch! I hope you find a solution cause I want that phone but will not get it if I can't pair it.

New iphone5 here with ios6 of course (AT&T 32gb) and 2007 GX with ML. Just pared mine yesterday without any problems. Sounds like you know how to pair it but its just not cooperating. Maybe turn iPhones Bluetooth off and back on? Or click forget this device if your gx is listed under Bluetooth on iPhone and try again. I'm betting you've tried all that though. Anyway, worked for me on 1st attempt for what it's worth.

I have iPhone 5 and it pairs fine. However, the 1st time, it did take a little while to get it to pair. I think I powered the iPhone all the way down and then back up and then tried toggling the Bluetooth a couple times. Once it connected, I have had no problems re-connecting (and that was 10 days ago). I have been re-connecting every day since then without any intervention required. Mike

iPhone 5 user and 2006 GX. Has been paired for a few months. No issues.

Only wish I could download my contacts. But I am happy that it works when talking.

try doing a hard reset on the phone and also make sure you are running the latest software. If there is an update available, update it and see if that helps
