recently my lexus dealership sent me a letter saying that the 06 GX470 is in high demand and they were wondering if i was looking to dump mine and get another vehicle. i thought about it and figured i got my money's worth out of it plus we've sort of "outgrown" it.

long story short: today i ditched the 06 GX470 and got a fully loaded 11 LX570! this vehicle is absolutely ridiculous.....i love it.

 

Sounds like you got the runaround. Hell, an '86 Pontiac is in high demand if it means selling you another vehicle.

 

I get those letters all the time too. They just want to sell you a new vehicle but you REALLY upgraded so it was all worth it!

my goodness there is nothing sad about it. lx570 is in a totally different league. congrats!

but then again, i can say for sure lx570 is in way higher demand than gx470. in the end as long as you are happy with the upgrade that means everything

thomasgs, my wife and i were looking at the infiniti QX56 as well as the LX570. i actually rented the infiniti when we took a trip up to lake placid. that week we had the QX was sort of a test....we did like it but we weren't crazy about the look of it. we basically needed a larger vehicle and the LX is what we had in mind all along.

red, i'm gonna do my best not to toy around with the LX.....but ya never know :-)

very nice lux truck...

i wonder why did lexus go cheap on the lx models and 2010 and beyong gx models having only one projector lens in the headlamp... everything else is was updated and upgraded compared to the 1st gen gx model but the headlamp got a downgrade as 2 projector lens looks so much better (not mentioning the hid aspect)...

LX570 is nice but so is the infiniti qx56... in terms of exterior i think the qx56 looks better...
i got an infiniti g35 coupe so i gotta add that in there... but the 1st gen gx470 is the best looking lux truck to date bar none (not mentioning the interior...)

 

i guess it's all subjective. i think the current qx56 looks horrendous on the outside. interior is pretty nice though

the gx470 is very handsome, but i have to give it to lx570
