Default Battery size

Searching the internet seem the Lexus standard size is 27F.
Funny but seems like that is a very unppular size at aftermarket sites.
Probably to drive folks back to their lexus dealer.

OK, my 2004 V8 4Runner has the same engine. The Toyota uses a common 24F battery and Sears has Diehard Gold in stock which consumer reports gives a good report too. Seems to me the 24 is just slightly small physical size.

I need a good cold weather battery for the Rock Mountain. My 2007 was hard to start on cold days. Maybe 4 years is all you get.
OEM tires were horrible in the snow too. Seems like toyota builds these for warm weather climates.

Any problems using a size 24F? or other aftermarket recommendations for high CCA and good reserve for cold weather.
