31k miles 2008 for $35800 sounds like very reasonable price. I offered them $34K. If they will sell to you for $34.5 its a great deal. Extended warranty is about $1700 search this forum the guy name is Troy. When you will negotiate a deal tell them that its not CPO.

Out this way 2008 Lexus CPO's are $35,000 - 39,000 on average. All with Nav, mileage varies from 35,000 to 59,000. I've spoken to one dealer on the phone (In another CPO thread) and been to two local dealers. All three have been firm on the price, or added $$. I think at $36500 plus the Toyota/Lexus extended warranty if you buy one, you are back to lexus CPO price.

I still can’t find good deals on 08 and 09. What did you guys pay for used GX470?

Have one dealer in Naperville with 35,230 miles on it. Asking price 39981. It is certified till 100,000.

I have been doing research for almost 2months.

People always get great deals until you are ready to buy one. Then these great deals disappear. People dont tell the whole story. They are sometimes trade in and the dealer low ***** them on their trade and offer them a 'better' price on the GX470.
I was offered a better price on my car because i was financing thru lexus. I immediate took the deal and refinaced with my bank who had already approved me for a lower rate. Winner all around.
Most people that buy GXs are not 1st time buyers and have decent trade ins that the dealer way undervalues so they can offer these so called better price. ask any of these guys with the 'great deals' if they had trade ins

 

as someone who THOUGHT going with an acura MDX was the right decision for our family... don't do it. The vehicle is gutless, and sucks to drive. I have been a long time LC/LX owner and we thought we'd downsize to a smaller motor, something more efficient and modern. I hated owning the MDX every day we had it - and with less than 9 months into it, I traded back out of it at a decent loss to get back into a toyota product.

The 08 GX we bought was 33k real money, loaded up.

The other option is if you need a slightly bigger vehicle look at an 04+ land cruiser or LX - no matter how yo cut it the 2UZ has terrible gas mileage, but in REAL WORLD driving the MDX only average 17 for us, we had figured it'd be a ton better...

 

If I buy a GX, I will be going with Lexus with 2.9 which runs to the end of the month. I'm going tomorrow to a dealer and see what he offers me.


Does silver look nice on 08GX? Where there two different silver colors on GX's

If your credit is great, you can get better than 2.9 at most of your credit unions. I was able to get better than 2.9 and for 72 months rather than the toyota's 60 months. Money is so cheap right now that federal credit unions are practically giving it away as long as you are a good risk.

but I hear you - the 2.9 is good on ANY certified lexus or toyota product.

Guys

I brought a 08 White/tan on April 20th. It has 32500miles certified til 5yr/100000 miles

I wanted to know if someone put Shadowline bmw black vinyl on the front grille to cover the chrome or emblems in the back. I would like to see pics on the white GX470

I may be doing this mod.

I will post pics.
