AM/FM/CD-DVD Changer Audio System

or

Mark Levinson Audio


So does the AM/FM/CD-DVD Changer Audio System come with the premium package and ML come with luxury? Im a little confused.

Also what is this referring to:

Premium Package including: voice-activated DVD navigation system

My system does NOT have the DVD. CD only.
I believe I have the Ultra Luxury w/ Nav in both my '10 IS250AWD and '10 ES350

 

I have a base model IS350 with ML and nav, which can play DVD video while the car is in park with the parking brake on. Maybe on the non-ML models, you can play just DVD audio??

 

DVD comes with mark levinson WITH nav. Only.

No other options make any difference.

Not even Mark Levinson without nav gets DVD

 

so what cars have the ML audio ssytems in it?? how u kno it will have it in it? if there is a nav that means you have the ML audio?

im about to get a is350 so i want to know.

ML is optional on all models. Only ML WITH nav will play DVDs. You can not play MP3s on DVDs.

I'm fairly certain that on the newer models you can play MP3 files on the non-ML as well. in my '10 I'm usibg a USB stick for files, haven't tried the MP3 for CDs but if it can decode 1 it shoud work on the other

 

Koz didn't say that you can't play MP3 files on CD, he said you can't play MP3 files on DVD. Which is definitely true for the '06-'09 models; I'm not sure about the '10. Both ML and non-ML can play CDs with MP3 files fine. But a Nav/ML car, which has a DVD player for movies, cannot play MP3 files from a DVD, even though it can play them from a CD.

 

u have to pay extra for the ML system. If you have really particular ears and can notice the difference between ML and standard audio system, then I say go for it. The ML system also plays DVDs while you are on park. The sticker window should mention if the car is quipped with ML or not. Also there is a Mark Levison Logo in front of the audio system.

I did not get the ML system, but I did get an ipod kit and play videos / mp3s from my iphone / ipod. plus the kit charges my iPhone. Just mentioning a possible alternative to the ML system.
