I replaced my front calipers with the refurbed OEM calipers sold by JC Whitney. Install at a local indy was $120.

Just one suggestion for anyone considering this route... If you are otherwise happy with your trucks braking performance, buy the "unloaded" calipers and go with the OEM brake pads, retaining clips etc, which will ensure more operation.

$500 was a local auto shop specializing in foreign autos. My wife had an issue with the local Toyota dealer that prompted us to drive further to the Lexus dealer yrs ago ... so we didn't get a price quote from them.

Replaced both calipers in the fronts twice. First with reman OEM and that didn't work out well, the next were Advance auto brand that have held up better believe it or not and I believe they were only like $130 each

I recently replaced both sides on my 03. However I do abuse the brakes. A lot! It came to the point where the shop could not put new pads in, because the calipers were seized :/

2005 with 60k miles at replacement of left front seized caliper a couple months ago. Had the brakes pulsing for a while before then the pull right with the freeze. I thought it was the pads--had 1/32" above minimum a month or so before the seizure.

Still going good on my Advance auto parts calipers, I recommend them. It seems it makes the list of common problems. If they are going seize at least $130 per caliper is reasonable.
