Question HIDExtra headlights

Just wondering if anyone has bought/installed an HIDExtra H11 kit on their GX. I bought one and figured I'd just use the direction for the Xenon Depot one...anyone know if these direction are the same or similar at least?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sooo...I'm guessing no one's used this kit yet? I have everything I need, I'm just waiting for enough daylight/a warm enough day to be able to do it with my garage door open (my current garage has horrible lighting and space)--thankfully I'm moving in a month!

Chris ideally the location would be behind the battery, All this could be tucked away, with tie wraps used where ever neccessary.

If you want to get a better beam output ( Sharpness & Clarity ) than the standard OEM gx model having the HID fitted, then you can go for a mod on the headlamp, currently I am doing it on my GX. The GX lens are fresnel lens, which are bit spiral. so not much of wide spread on the beam, the projector is designed to be that way. All you could is replace the lens with the TSX or TL clear lens and the projector is replaced with LS430. And this is what you get is the output.
Check this out.

You need to remove the projectors out of the headlamps and lens is replaceable. Probably a clear lens would be the best option if you want to go for the existing projectors, but dismay is GX projectors are not wide, because the chrome within is designed that way. That is why you have a slanted cut on the side beam. The lens are 2.5" on the dia, you get them on the ebay. It is a long job, your truck would be parked for weeks if you are a newbie to this stuff doing retrofit.

Check this image out, done on a Highlander with a LS430 retro, check how wiiiiiiiiiide the beam is and how lengthy does it throw out, literary daylight. And most important you are within the state laws, not blinding.

So did you change the lens or did you completely swap out the projectors? I've been wanting to do this for a while but people on the forum didn't like the idea of swapping out our projectors.

I would like to see pics of the process. On a side note, did anyone notice a small flicker in one of their hid lights on startup?

Sorry for thread jacking but since my question is also about the hidextra kit no point of making another thread. For those who are using the hidextra kit do you use any relays or just plug and play straight from the box? Thanks

If you use HIDs on both your high and low beams....high beams do not come on right away like a standard Halogen bulb You will have to wait for the HID bulb to warm up after you switch to high, the bulbs don't output much light until they are warm.
