Our GX has the ML system. Where can I find the subwoofer? There is what appears to be a speaker in the cargo area that gets covered by our third row seats when they are stored in the up position. Is that it? If so, that seems a bit goofy since it is covered most of the time.

I know people have mixed feelings about the ML in general. I have an LS430 w/o the ML and I think that system is great esp. when the position selector is set to Driver. In my opinion, the ML in our GX is not as good as the stock system in my LS. Perhaps that is because of the difference in vehicle size etc..... Anybody have thoughts on this?

 

I am no audio expert, but I don't think the subwoofer needs to actually have much clearance in order to function. Low sound frequencies travel pretty well despite the appearance of seat interference, in my opinion. Yes - I think the speaker by the seat in the 3rd row is the sub.
